Supporting local enterprise in Papua New Guinea
CLIENT: MaxtoneHaus
LOCATION: Papua New Guinea
CAPDA Consulting is providing MaxtoneHaus pro bono specialist logistic and maritime knowledge for distributing coconut copra from the Papua New Guinea islands to markets in Asia.
Increasing international demand for coconut products has led to the humble coconut once again providing small Pacific Islands new economic opportunities. MaxtoneHaus, a company specialising in manufacturing 100 per cent organic coconut oils scented with natural essential oils, wished to leverage the demand for coconut products and sought an independent review of its operations to maximise the opportunity.
CAPDA Consulting assists MaxtoneHaus by providing ongoing pro bono business assurance and review of its production processes.
CAPDA Consulting’s pro bono support is also providing the company specialist logistic and maritime knowledge for distributing copra, the dried meat or kernel of coconuts, from the Papua New Guinea islands to Asian markets through the port of Kimbe in New Britain, the largest island in the Bismarck Archipelago.
